Drinking water works and investment programme for 13 prefectural capitals in Togo. Seeking energy-efficient solutions, protecting water resources, taking vulnerable populations into account, and ensuring the profitability and financial sustainability of operations.

Definition of master plans for the 13 centres.
Activities conducted :

Preliminary studies: data collection, assessment of existing infrastructure, definition of the scope and timeframe of the study
- Analysis of water demand: analysis of past and current consumption, analysis of demographics and urban planning, household surveys, projections and estimates of future demand
- Resource analysis: conducting hydraulic gauging, modelling current water resources and their exposure to climate change, assessing future production requirements and the resources to be mobilised
- Analysis of the balance between water requirements and available resources
- Definition of solutions: requirements for the rehabilitation and construction of new water abstraction points, treatment works, supply networks, storage and distribution facilities
- Design, hydraulic modelling and cost estimation of the proposed solutions at the pre-feasibility stage
- Assessment of the environmental and social impacts of the proposed solutions.
- Organisation of investments: phasing of investments, funding requirements, impact on operating costs and tariffs, investment plan
